We provide a Developmental
Process Forum for our members.
Parents and
professionals get to talk about the developmental process and what
happens when the process is working correctly and what happens when it gets stuck or sluggish. This is the first forum
on the internet that is concerned about, and focuses on, the
developmental process.
Come
join our members in their respectful, free-wheeling discussions
about the developmental process.
What is normal?
What is working?
What didn't work?
What
have you tried?
What can you expect?
What to watch out for?
What can others tell you about their experiences with
their children or clients?
What have you got to say?
Our Developmental Checklist is an
interactive
tool for identifying the current developmental status of a child. Based
on your input, it identifies a child's progress through the
developmental stages from 0 to 60 months. It also identifies the
developmental warning-signs for 12 months, 24 months, and for those
older than 6 years.
Join our members as they track their children's developmental
progress. Learn what developments will be next for your child. Anticipate the changes
your child makes naturally. Learn what to look for as your child grows
and develops.
This developmental checklist
report includes a unique one-page graphic overview which shows you
at-a-glance how your child has progressed through developmental steps, tasks, and stages. It helps you understand the
significance of your child's developmental progress.
This checklist is quite complete, and you will find it useful for
communicating with your child's
service providers. Give them a copy of your latest report whenever
you have an office visit, or whenever your child's file needs updating.
An exciting feature of our Developmental Checklist
is that it remembers what you identified the last time you completed the
checklist, and you only have to identify the changes that have happened
since then. If you are using the checklist for multiple children, it
remembers separately for each child.
Assessment Request:
Members who are concerned about their child's developmental movement can
ask for a no-obligation assessment of their child's situation. This will
be a voice conference call using telephone or
VOIP between the child's parents and our
professional staff. Parents complete the
Assessment Request, answer additional
questions, and we schedule the
conference. This free service is
only available to our members.
